Assisted Self Build

“As with any Self Build project, research is key, and having spoken to Alan at Timber Leisure Buildings, and after several on-site visits to existing projects, my wife and I placed our order.
At this stage we felt it was quite a leap of faith, but the team at Timber Mobile Homes were always on hand to answer any questions, and also kept us up to date on progress.
Having confirmed our design, and prepared the base, our agreed delivery day arrived, and Alan was on hand to oversee the delivery, once offloaded and unpacked, we
arranged the timber into size order as advised by the team, who had been very helpful during the site visits.
The team arrived on site on the next working day as agreed, they set out the subframe and got us on our way, by also building the first two levels, this was so important, and
helped us understand the building process, from that point on, everything has gone exactly as it should, and by day 4 the main structure was complete.
The precision with which the kit has been manufactured in the factory, to the support from Alan and the team, has made our build a great decision and has provided us with a
quality building, it’s almost hard to believe, but only myself, my wife and a friend have been involved in this build, and I would recommend it to anyone.
We are now in the final stage of our build, and look forward to moving in to our new home.

SAWSTON RIDING SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION

In 2010 we applied for planning permission to replace the existing barn with a mobile timber building to be used as the clubs headquarters. They organised the internals with the help of  local trades people and volunteer’s who support ‘Riding for the Disabled’. We obtained planning permission to construct their new Headquarters and living accommodation. 

A site visit can be arranged.

Recent Lodge Valuation

In 2019 we completed this 2 bedroom lodge on a residential park home site in Derbyshire.

It was sold for £25o,000 by the site owners.

5 Years ago we constructed ‘Pedlers End’ for a total cost of £75,000.

It is a holiday lodge set in half an acre of land our price excluded services on site but included kitchen, bathroom & ensuite shower room.

It is now on the market for 350,000.

Hayle Tennis Headquarters

We were contacted by Hayle tennis Club and asked to quote for the supply and construction of their new tennis headquarters.
Members of the committee visited one of our transportable homes and were happy with the quality of construction and the price quoted.We Adapted a home into a functional club headquarters.

Swimming Pool Timber Enclosure

We can supply a timber transportable home to be used as a swimming pool enclosure up to 20 meters in length.

Eco Cabin [Whixhall, Shropshire]

In September 2012 we were approached by Mr & Mrs Edge of Whichall in Shropshire. They wanted to move into a single storey home due to mobility problems. We liaised with their Architect and designed a complete “Eco” Timber Home to comply with all Building Regulations. With the addition of Solar PV and additional insulation our home exceeded the structural requirements for this type of dwelling. It was given “A” rated Energy Performance Certificate.

Transportable Timber Home [Cornwall]

Mr & Mrs J.Woolgarr of North Cornwall decide to replace their static caravan at Cracking ton Haven.
We were contacted and a visit was arranged to view a Transportable Timber Home during construction. They subsequently ordered a home to be built on a static chassis. Being owners of the land the new home would not be moved.
After construction the site was visited by an inspector from North Cornwall planning department. She confirmed the structure as a Transportable Timber Home.

Holiday Lodges [Anglesey]

Mr & Mrs Pritchard (Retired Farmers) of Angelsey have developed Transportable Holiday Lodges overlooking the golf course near Beaumaris. We have now completed the first 2 of this project and these can be viewed by appointment.

Farm workers dwelling [Wrexham]

Mr Davis has a agricultural and livestock farm on the outskirts of Wrexham. To enable planned expansion an additional dairyman was required. Due to the isolated position of the farm a home was required. The planning department would only grant a temporary approval for a three year period. We applied therefore for a Transportable Timber Cabin, insulated for year round use and built on a wheeled chassis. After 3 years full approval for the home was granted.

The Smallest Transportable Cabin is the ‘Rutland’. It has all the features of the larger homes ie Full Insulation vaulted ceiling in 20mm T@G timber Solid timber floors, double with cavity filled with insulation. From £23,000
